1.4948 is Acid-resistant stainless steel with austenitic structure classified as heat-resistant and creep-resistant. 1.4948 are used for temperatures up to 550 ℃. In contrast to the usual 304 and 304L grades, the chemical composition of 1.4948 has been adapted to the working environment in terms of strength properties at high temperatures - resistance to creep, by adding REM. Steel 1.4948 are resistant to the same acids, alkali, salts and gases as ordinary stainless steel 0H18N9 and 1.4301.
