655M13,EN36,EN36A,EN36B is a low-alloy steel grade containing chromium, molybdenum, and nickel.
It is commonly used in the aerospace and defence industries for applications such as gears, shafts, and aircraft landing gear components. 655M13 has high strength, good ductility, and excellent toughness, making it suitable for high-stress environments. It is typically supplied in normalised and tempered condition and can be easily welded and machined.

Heat treatment way of 655M13,EN36,EN36A,EN36B forging parts
Heat treatment details carburise at 880 / 930°C.
Refine at 850/880°C cool either in air or water.
Harden at 760/780°C then quench in oil.
Temper in oil at temperature of 150/200°C this will alleviate stresses and the risks of cracking.

Material Qualification Test Coupons (QTC) of 655M13,EN36 forging parts :
. QTC shall be used to establish the mechanical properties of each forging or bar product.
. Minimum one QTC will be required for each heat / per heat-treat lot. A QTC shall be obtained from either of the following:
