A182-F62 is a 6% molybdenum super-austenitic stainless steel. It offers an excellent combination of strength, ductility and resistance to corrosion by a variety of media at an economical price. The properties of the alloy are enhanced by its content of nitrogen. Its high content of nickel results in thermal stability and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. A182-F62 is widely used in the air pollution control, power, chemical processing, marine, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries
The chemical composition of A182-F62 forged material shall be made on samples which correspond to the top & bottom of the re -molten ingot used to the make the part according to ASTM E354, ASTM E1473, ASTM E2465 and ARP1313 for trace elements (lead, bismuth and selenium). Others than abovementioned standards may be used provided THAT they are approved by the purchaser.
Chemical analysis performed on final product shall conform to the variations specified in ASTM B880.

A prolongation shall betaken from the ¼ T envelope location of the thickest section. 2. A sacrificial forging that is cut into specified segments for test coupons.
