UNS N06045 is an iron-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with the addition of nitrogen.Alloy 45TM has proven
itself to be suitable particularly in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in ore digestion plants, in environmental and marine engineering as well as in oil and gas extraction. it is widely used in waste incineration plants, furnaces for refineries, chemical industry, coal gasification, building of industrial furnaces
The chemical composition of UNS N06045 forged material shall be made on samples which correspond to the top & bottom of the re -molten ingot used to the make the part according to ASTM E354, ASTM E1473, ASTM E2465 and ARP145TM3 for trace elements (lead, bismuth and selenium). Others than abovementioned standards may be used provided THAT they are approved by the purchaser.

Minimum Properties in Solution Annealed Condition
0.2% Yield Strength 40 ksi (276 MPa)
Tensile Strength 94 ksi (650 MPa)
Elongation 40% in 2” (51mm)
The mechanical testing of UNS N06045,Alloy 45TM, Alloy 45 TM forging parts shall be performed on the qualification on its QTC representing the heat and heat treatment lot in accordance with ASTM A370, ASTM E8 or ISO 6892-1.
Hardness testing shall be in accordance with:
— ISO 6506-1 or ASTM E10, or
— ISO 6508-1 or ASTM E18.
—ISO 6507-1 or ASTM E384 maybe used if ISO 6506-1 or ISO 6508-1 cannot be applied due to size, accessibility, or other limitations.
CVN impact testing shall be in accordance with ASTM E23 or any equivalent specification
