1.Any indications that are considered to be rejectable by the standard practices of the supplier shall be reported
2.Any indication that exceeds 25%of the full amplitude line while scanning a distance greater than 150%of the beam width or 12.7 mm, whichever is greater.
3.Any indication that exceeds 25% of the full amplitude reference line that demonstrates a radial extent greater than 6.35 mm while scanning a distance greater than 150% of the beam width or 12.7 mm,whichever is greater
4.Due to the nature of some rings to have an elevated noise level while scanning in the axial direction,a 35%of full amplitude line reporting criteria may be used.This change shall be noted on the examination report.
5.Any indications in excess of 5% of the back reflection during longitudinal wave noise scan shall be reported.
6.Any occurrence of 50%or greater loss of back reflection shall be reported.
Rings containing no recordable indications are acceptable
Rings of such coarse grain size or microstructure that the indication from the test notch cannot be distinguished above the noise level are subject to rejection.
