ZERON 100 is described as a super duplex stainless steel with a microstructure of 50:50 austenite and ferrite. The steel combines high mechanical strength (typically up to 600 MPa yield strength) and good ductility with outstanding corrosion resistance to marine environments and a wide, diverse range of oil & gas production environments. ZERON 100 is supplied with a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent) at >= 40.0 which guarantees high resistance to pitting corrosion.

Hardness test and Visual Inspection.
Hardness test Magnetic Particle Inspection is to be done first, or if the material is not magnetic,
PT (Liquid Penetrant) testing is to be used. 100% dimensional inspection on random number of lot required.
plus volumetric testing with UT (Ultrasonic testing) or X-ray (Radiographic) inspection. Ultrasonic testing is to be used first but if it is not applicable to the material then X- rays will be taken. 100% dimensional inspection on all parts is required.
The UNS S32760 forged product shall be inspected for laps, seams, folds, and re-entry grains and those defects ground out.
